Brands Hatch: despite many unforeseen events, there was no lack of podiums

The second stage of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series 2022 championship took place a few weeks ago in the historic British circuit of Brands Hatch. It turned out to be an adrenaline weekend for the #54 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Gianmarco Ercoli and Luli Del Castello.

Luli Del Castello exceeded expectations once again after her success in Valencia at the circuit of “Ricardo Tormo” governing EuroNascar2 races and winning the Lady Trophy once again. Despite suffering an accident during the practice that damaged not only the #54 but her hand, Del Castello remained the women's classification leader.

Gianmarco Ercoli, third in race 1, was the protagonist of a spectacular overtaking in race 2 that pulled him up to the first position. Unfortunately, he received a violent collision from another driver. Ercoli managed to finish the race despite of losing part of the back rear of his car, what brougth him the ovation of the entire Brands Hatch crowd.

EuroNascar 2022 arrives to Italy!

The third round of the championship will take place at Vallelunga’s "Piero Taruffi" circuit on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July.
